Blueprint scale details

Original Fox Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea Movie Seaview Miniature Blueprint dated 10-27-60. This is an early blueprint showing the Seaview with 12 windows, which was later reduced to 8. 1/8 inch on the blueprint represents 1 foot on the full size Seaview. The length of the Seaview in this blueprint is 50 inches, so based on this measurement and the quoted scales, the full size Seaview would be of the order of 400 feet.

The 8 window Seaview was used in the first season of the television series of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and was later revised to 4 windows and to house the Flying Sub in the second season.
