Seaview Submarine Concept Artwork

Original "Seaview" Submarine Concept Artwork from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (TCF, 1961). Vintage original concept artwork for the atomic submarine "Seaview," cruising the arctic waters as the aurora borealis glows vivid red in the sky above. An early design by art director Herman Blumenthal. In tempera and gouache measuring 34.25" x 12" image size on 4-ply artist illustration board measuring 36.75" x 15" (edges slightly trimmed), in an archival mat hinged with clear mylar overlay. Actual artwork reproduced on p. 98 of "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen" by Jeff Bond, Creature Features 2019. Fine, with light scuffs to artwork and paper loss on the borders from mount removal. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
