Deep-Sea Monsters Concept Artwork

Original Deep-Sea Monsters Concept Artwork from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (TCF, 1961). Vintage original concept artwork featuring the "Seaview" submarine encountering a fight between two deep-sea monsters. An early design by art director Herman Blumenthal. In tempera and gouache measuring 34.5" x 12.5" image size on 4-ply artist illustration board measuring 39.5" x 15", housed in an archival mat hinged with clear mylar overlay. Actual artwork reproduced on pp. 108-109 of "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen" by Jeff Bond, Creature Features 2019. Fine, with light scuffs to artwork and paper loss on the borders from mount removal. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
